WE SHIP ADULT BIRDS
throughout the United States via insured Express Mail. (See
Adults for details.) For their
comfort and well-being, we ship birds only during cool
weather--primarily October through February or until we are sold
out. For the best selection, adults can be ordered in the
spring for fall delivery. When ordering in the spring or early
summer, a minimum deposit of 25% is required to
reserve birds for the fall. The cancellation fee for adult
orders is $7.50/bird. Adults can be picked up at the
farm by appointment only. (If picked up at the farm, we often
have a few adults available starting in June or July.)
TO INSURE THEIR HEALTH
AND WELL-BEING, our birds
are fed premium quality feeds, are raised in clean, spacious
pastures and pens; and are routinely blood-tested and inspected by
the Oregon Department of Agriculture. We work very hard to make sure
that the birds we sell are healthy and will be productive. However
due to the many factors beyond our control once they leave us, we
cannot guarantee their productivity or longevity.
ALL ADULT BIRDS ARE CAREFULLY
GRADED according to their breed standard and priced accordingly.
The Elite Show Birds and some rare varieties are in high demand so
it is a good idea to order as early as possible for the best
selection. Following is a list of the various grading level
Quality: Suitable for general home and farm use.
Show Breeder Quality:
Although not show birds themselves, these birds have the
genetics and characteristics which should allow them to produce
show quality offspring.
These show birds can also be used for breeding. All show
birds are graded on a point system based on their breed
standards and priced according to their point totals.
Elite Show Quality:
These are the cream of the crop and are sold by private treaty.
Phone or e-mail for details on specific birds.
